Aston Martins Against the Clock - Classic & Modern Aston Martins at Aintree/AMOC Speed Championship
Join Fuel the Passion for a full-length Aston Martin film from the historic Aintree Circuit, where cars from the Aston Martin Owners Club Speed Championship take on the clock at one of Britain’s most evocative motorsport venues.
Aintree may be best known to many people for the Grand National, but hidden within this famous venue is a remarkable motor racing story. The original Aintree Circuit opened in the 1950s and went on to host the British Grand Prix five times.
Today, thanks to Liverpool Motor Club, that motorsport history is still being used, enjoyed and respected. In this film, we follow a brilliant mix of cars and drivers during an AMOC Speed Championship round at Aintree.
You’ll see the paddock atmosphere, sound checks, start line action, onboard footage, driver interviews and timed runs from a wonderful variety of cars.

Although this is the Aston Martin Owners Club Speed Championship, you don't need to own or drive an Aston Martin to get involved. The day shows what makes club motorsport so appealing: friendly people, fascinating cars, a safe and controlled format, and the chance to enjoy your car against the clock. You’ll also hear from the drivers about what it takes to prepare a car for sprinting, how timing struts work, why sprint events can be a great entry point into motorsport, and what makes the AMOC Speed Championship such a friendly and accessible way to compete.
Make sure you watch right to the end, where there’s a special trailer for our next Fuel the Passion film; the AMOC Spring Concours at Alnwick Castle, featuring stunning Aston Martins in an unforgettable setting.
After a full day at Aintree, I seem to have returned to the FTP Vantage looking slightly more “well done” than planned! Now you’ve seen what the AMOC Speed Championship is all about, would you consider giving it a go yourself - whether in an Aston Martin or something else? I would love to hear your thoughts below.
