FTP Pit Stop Notes: IMSA - ASTON MARTIN SHOWS FRONT-RUNNING PACE AT INDIANAPOLIS

WeatherTech Championship Round 10 of 11
Aston Martin showed genuine front-running pace across all three classes at the TireRack.com Battle on the Bricks at Indianapolis.
The #23 Aston Martin THOR Team Valkyrie climbed from tenth on the GTP grid to run fifth before contact cost it ground, with Ross Gunn and Roman De Angelis eventually finishing eighth. In GTD, Tom Gamble led the race for Heart of Racing before Dudu Barrichello set the fastest lap of the class, the #27 Vantage ultimately finishing fifth.
The #68 Car Blanche Vantage also ran as high as third in GTD PRO before Marco Sørensen and Valentin Hasse-Clot slipped to ninth in the final classification.
The 2026 IMSA season now heads to the 10-hour Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta on 3rd October, where the championship will be decided.

FTP Pit Stop Notes: GT WORLD CHALLENGE EUROPE – ASTON MARTIN TAKES SILVER CUP WIN AT ZANDVOORT

Sprint Cup Round 04 of 05
Aston Martin left Zandvoort with another victory after Arthur Dorison and Oliver Söderström claimed the Silver Cup win in Sunday’s Race 2 aboard Comtoyou Racing’s #21 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo. The pair finished 12th overall, securing their first class victory of the 2026 season.
The #7 Pro Cup Vantage of Nicki Thiim and Kobe Pauwels finished ninth overall in Race 1, but Sunday proved more difficult, with the car retiring after nine laps.
The Sprint Cup now heads to Barcelona for its season finale on 3rd–4th October.

FTP Pit Stop Notes: Difficult Sachsenring Weekend for Aston Martin
Date of notes: 14th September 2026
Aston Martin’s Nicki Thiim finished eighth in Saturday’s opening DTM race at the Sachsenring, securing points for Comtoyou Racing, but Sunday ended in retirement after a heavy collision with Jules Gounon forced both cars out.
It was a disappointing penultimate weekend for Aston Martin as the championship now heads to the Hockenheim finale on 9th–11th October.

FTP Pit Stop Notes: Difficult Madrid Weekend for Aston Martin
Date of notes: 14th September 2026
Aston Martin endured a difficult Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid, with Fernando Alonso finishing 17th after his race was compromised by contact and an additional pit stop, while Lance Stroll retired with brake problems.
The team left the Madring without points from a challenging weekend as attention now turns towards the next opportunity in Baku.

FTP Pit Stop Notes: Blackthorn Shows Strong Pace at Hockenheim
Date of notes: 14th September 2026
Blackthorn Racing’s #97 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo showed strong pace at Hockenheim, with Jonny Adam qualifying an impressive third overall for Race 2.
The weekend didn’t deliver the Pro-Am result Blackthorn wanted, but the qualifying performance underlined the outright speed of the Aston Martin against the wider GT Open field.

FTP Pit Stop Notes: Blackthorn Shows Front-Running Pace at Silverstone
Date of notes: 13th September 2026
Blackthorn Racing’s #91 Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT3 Evo delivered one of its strongest Michelin Le Mans Cup performances of the season at Silverstone, with Claude Bovet qualifying third in GT3 and holding the position for much of his opening stint.
A late-stint spin cost places before Tom Canning took over, with changing weather and repeated tyre decisions adding further complexity to the second half of the race.
Claude and Tom ultimately brought the #91 home seventh in GT3, securing six championship points and underlining the pace Blackthorn had shown throughout the weekend.

FTP Pit Stop Notes: WEC – ASTON MARTIN DELIVERS AT COTA
Date of notes: 7th September 2026
Aston Martin enjoyed a strong Lone Star Le Mans weekend at COTA, with the #007 Valkyrie finishing fourth overall after showing front-running pace throughout the event.
In LMGT3, The Heart of Racing Team claimed victory with the #27 Vantage, while the #23 finished third, completing a superb double podium for Aston Martin.

FTP Pit Stop Notes: BRITISH GT – ASTON MARTIN CROWNS GT4 PRO-AM CHAMPIONS AT DONINGTON
Date of notes: 7th September 2026
Aston Martin left Donington with silverware secured as Daniel Lavery and Darren Turner clinched the 2026 British GT4 Pro-Am Championship for Grange Racing by FSR. Their fourth-place GT4 finish also delivered a fifth consecutive Pro-Am victory, putting the title beyond reach with one round remaining.
In GT3, Andrew Howard and Ross Gunn brought the #7 Beechdean Motorsport Vantage home fourth overall, while Jessica Hawkins and Will Orton finished sixth in GT4 after a pit-lane speeding penalty cost them a potential podium. The MK Racing pairing remains firmly in the overall GT4 title fight, six points behind the joint championship leaders.
The British GT season now heads to Brands Hatch on 26th–27th September, where Aston Martin remains involved in both the GT3 and overall GT4 championship battles.
