A New FTP Resource - Long in the Planning
The FTP Anniversary Calendar has been in the planning for some time. The idea itself came together relatively quickly; finding the time to research it properly, verify the dates and build the Evidence Register behind it has taken considerably longer.
We eventually set ourselves a target: 1st September 2026. It felt like the right moment to stop talking about what the calendar could become and actually put it in front of you. After a great deal of research, checking, cross-referencing and development, we made that target, and the FTP Anniversary Calendar is finally here.
The aim is simple: to create a useful, forward-looking resource for the Aston Martin community. Alongside the anniversaries themselves, the Evidence Register shows the research behind each entry and explains why FTP has used a particular date, month or year. Where the historical record is uncertain or sources disagree, we say so openly rather than inventing precision.
Just as importantly, this is intended to be a living resource. If you know of an Aston Martin, motorsport, James Bond, AMOC or AMHT anniversary that you believe deserves to be included, please let us know. Likewise, if you spot something you believe is incorrect, or have evidence that could strengthen or amend an existing entry, we would genuinely like to hear from you.
Every suggestion will be considered and, where the evidence supports it, the calendar and Evidence Register will be updated. The purpose of this resource is to help all of us plan ahead, celebrate the right moments and preserve the history accurately, so if you think something should change, please tell us. We hope you find it useful. Thank you.
