New to Fuel the Passion? Start Here.
A very warm welcome to Fuel the Passion - I’m Dan, the creator of this independent Aston Martin storytelling platform.
That’s me pictured with the FTP Vantage at the Aston Martin Owners Club (AMOC) Spring Concours in 2025, a special event where the car achieved 2nd in class. It was one of those moments that captured exactly what Fuel the Passion is about: real ownership, great people, beautiful cars, shared enthusiasm and a deep respect for the Aston Martin story.
Fuel the Passion started in mid-2024 and has grown from a personal ownership journey into a wider Aston Martin platform covering heritage, motorsport, community, market observations, buying and ownership insight, and the real-world experience of living with these remarkable cars.
Whether you’re here for the weekly Aston Martin news, the latest motorsport coverage, long-form heritage features, buying advice, market observations, or simply to follow the journey of the FTP Vantage, this is the best place to begin.
Fuel the Passion isn’t about hype. It’s about telling Aston Martin stories properly, with enthusiasm, honesty, accuracy and respect for this wonderful British marque. I’m really pleased you’ve found your way here, and I hope you enjoy exploring Fuel the Passion.
What is Fuel the Passion?
Fuel the Passion is an independent Aston Martin-focused website and YouTube channel created by Dan Thorpe. It celebrates Aston Martin ownership, heritage, motorsport, road trips, events and community stories - from weekly news roundups and buyers’ guides to films from concours, club events and special Aston Martin moments.
Fuel the Passion is still a young platform, having started in mid-2024, but the ambition is to keep developing it into a wider Aston Martin home for enthusiasts. New sections are planned and in development, all with the aim of giving visitors and subscribers a growing mix of news, articles, films, ownership insight, motorsport coverage, market observations and heritage features about this wonderful British marque.

FTP Aston Martin Buyers Guides - Now Live
The Fuel the Passion Aston Martin Buyers Guide library is now live and continuing to grow, a practical, real-world resource for anyone thinking about buying, owning or simply understanding some of Aston Martin’s most admired modern cars.
Complete guides are currently available for the:
VH-generation V8 Vantage
Aston Martin DB9
Aston Martin DB11
First-generation Aston Martin Vanquish
VH-generation Aston Martin DBS
Research is now under way for the second-generation Vanquish, with further guides planned as the library continues to expand. A separate guide to the VH-generation V12 Vantage will also follow in the future.
Each guide is written from an enthusiast’s perspective, combining detailed research with ownership insight, known issues, maintenance considerations, running-cost caution and the practical checks that can help prospective owners make better-informed decisions.
They’re not intended to be the final word. They’re designed to develop over time. Owner comments, real-world experiences, maintenance stories and buying advice all help make the guides more useful, particularly for those considering their first Aston Martin.
